Not Sure About This Rabbit. . .

Reagan and I went to the mall this weekend to check out the Easter Bunny. . . she's not a fan, as you can see. I admit, this rabbit was not worth the wait in line for personality- but, the highlight of the visit was when Reagan asked me why he wasn't white. . . like every other year, and picture that we have at home- as well as the Easter Bunny she saw at this weekend's egg hunt. Hmmm. So I explained that rabbits have lots of cousins. Is there a book on quick thinking, for new mothers?! After convincing me that there was NO way she was getting out of her stroller and into his lap, I decided to savor the moment, and get what we could- so here's this year's picture!
December 21, 2006
School Day- I don't remember being this happy about school, but this happened to be the last day before Christmas break!
Game Face. Actually, this might have been the reaction to me asking if we could take 3 or 4 Barbies with us instead of ALL of them (in the car). . . my car has become a traveling circus of dolls.
Playing @ Granna & Poppy's
Reagan didn't know who to hug first- or last- or again! She got to play at Granna and Poppy's house, and WYLIE was there!! (she talks about Wylie all of the time!)

An afternoon of dress up at Granna's . . . very fancy, you two. Not you, Everson- but thanks for bringing in the wheel barrel- so they could carry out their new wardrobes! I think Granna was relieved to see Everson pushing around the "men toys", and not sharing dance costumes. What a tough guy- to put up with all the girls in the family! . . . where were all of the girls when I was growing up?! I empathize Everson. . . no fun to be out-numbered, but it'll work itself out in about 10 years. . . you'll be glad to have all the girls in the family- and their friends- around.

Also put together a Fisher Price nativity scene- Granna, you've thought of everything- where did you get that?! See, Reagan- Christmas is much more than just Santa and gifts. . . but keep behaving anyway, because yes- Santa CAN see you.

It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas!!

Reagan helps decorate our little tree- with little red finger-puppet monsters! Thanks for the help, Angel!
We've discussed how cool Christmas is because it's Jesus' birthday- and I've told her that one of the great things about Jesus' birthday is that we ALL get gifts to celebrate- yes, this, aside from the obvious- but I did not want to get into a theology lesson with a 2 year old- please, no suggestive emails about how much MORE Christmas is- I'm working into that!
Anway, the idea of seeing gifts under the tree, and hearing that Jesus' birthday is coming, is just too exciting for Reagan. Reagan drags her horse, her books, her toys, her shoes, whatever- right in front of the tree and hangs out.
She's very proud of the work she helped Mommy do, in putting up the tree- although I will admit- this little tree is a bit pathetic. . . it was just the perfect size little tree for a miniature helper to work with Mommy on putting up this year. So Hallelujah and Happy Birthday, Lord- but also, BRING IT SANTA!
Sassy!
Thanksgiving in Ruston
Thanksgiving Feast @ Reagan's School
Reagan's Montessori school had a Thanksgiving feast this week, and it was fun to see Reagan hard at play with her teachers and friends.
After lunch, we got to PLAY!- Indian head-dress and all.

Reagan and her best girlfriend, Alex. . . these two are inseparable.
This I had to see to believe- naptime.
